This Japanese saying describes the scariest dangers of daily life. It dismisses lightning as one of the inevitable fearful aspects of living in this world. While views towards childrearing have changed over time, earthquakes have also been urgently reexamined to develop earthquake-proof efficiency.

In regards to the second most fearful natural disaster, lightning, internal electrical lightning protection has been developed. However, external lightning protection today remains in much the same state as long ago.
